The project commissioned by Isotta Fraschini Motori, part of the Fincantieri Group, is progressing successfully and has reached another important milestone: construction of the buildings dedicated to the Test Center at the Bari plant has been completed, along with the installation of the main systems. We are now entering the commissioning planning phase, which will begin in April 2026 with the start of on-ground testing activities for the 3MW Fuel Cell (FC3MW) project.
The facilities and backbone systems (fluids, air, power supply, etc.), built in accordance with the technical and functional specifications required by the client, form the core infrastructure for the testing and validation systems of the three new facilities: engines, fuel cells, and hybrid solutions. The completion of this phase represents a significant step forward in the project roadmap, confirming the progress of the initiative and the joint commitment of the technical teams involved.
In the coming weeks, the operational phase will begin, with the goal of progressively preparing and validating:

the new electromechanical and plant components of the site;

the integration of automation and supervision systems;

preliminary functional tests alongside the client;

the validation of control and safety workflows.
The detailed planning was finalized during the technical review meeting held on February 25, in collaboration with the Isotta Fraschini Motori team.
