Control Sistem wins the tender for the designing and construction of a Testing Centre in the Isotta Fraschini Motori (IFM) plant in Bari, including the following 3 test rooms:
- One Engine Test Cell for engines powered by hydrogen, methane or diesel (power up to 5 MW).
- One Fuel Cells Test Cell (power up to 800 kW).
- One Fuel Cells Test Cell in Containers (power up to 3 MW).
The project also includes the management of the electricity produced by the three test cells, in order to be able to reuse it within the same Testing Centre, feed it back into the national grid or, in the absence of alternatives, dissipate it.
The whole supply is part of a Fincantieri project, aimed at the construction of the two cruise ships Viking Libra and Viking Astrea, which will be the first cruise ships in the world powered by hydrogen stored on board using a containerized solution.
Control Sistem continues to make its contribution to technological innovation in the field of engine propulsion and in the reduction of polluting emissions.
Below, some journalistic articles are proposed, which deal with the Fincantieri project mentioned above:
